After the plunge in demand in 2001 due to the terrorist
attack in US, our dealings with domestic home appliance manufacturers duly
increased as our overseas market expanded. Our sales recovered successfully
and, in 2007, they reached around 39 billion yen. But, amidst the recession
caused by the worldwide financial crisis in 2008, our sales dropped significantly
as a result of the downturn in the automobile/ home appliance industries.
On the other hand, however, the sales of our environmentally
friendly products are rapidly growing due to the increasing awareness towards
environmental issues among consumers, which is further leading to increase
in dealings in the automatic control equipment area. In such a market environment,
at the same time as we take advantage of local production as a global supplier,
we are striving to develop products which contribute to energy saving and
CO2 reduction whose market is expected to expand even further into the
future.
